30km outside of Lisbon is located Ericeira, the charming heart of Lisbon’s north coast. The mix of international surf vibe of Ericeira and the traditional, rural charm around offer perfect conditions for relaxed bike hoildays. Unique panorama trails lead north and south of Ericeira along the coast. Views reach from Cabo da Roca until Peniche or to the monumental Palace of Mafra.. Singletrails, forest roads and ancient paths cross the forests, wine yards and river valleys of the interior. Ericeira is the place to be for beginners and intermediate riders.

South of Ericeira a real natural bike park waits for us. The bike trails south of Ericeira are one of the highlights around here: Catchy sand stone turns the area near Rio Lizandro into a natural bike park! Fun rides and challanging trails with best ocean view are guaranteed to beginners and experts! When the trails become more sandy, we leave the coast and hit into the bushes.
Between old wind mills and fergotten villages the trail becomes more challenging now. Steep gravel roads and technical single trails lead us down to the Lizando valley. By a reason the trail along the river is known as â€œAmazonas Trailâ€: The dense and shady river valley is the perfect way to round up this day.

â€¢ Cliff ride to Sao Juliao
The uphill from the ocean to the wind mills is challenging, but itâ€™s the only long uphill of the day. Safe cycling and a a good base fitness is enough to do this ride. All technically sections can be skipped, so that this tour becomes a real tour for everyone.
North of Ericeira we find the much more unknown side: Steep cliffs and long river valleys, technical trails and relaxed forest roads.
From the beach at Ribeira d’Ilhas we are heading land inwards to the rural countryside.
After a quick recovery stop in a local bar we continuer our ride along the the steer cliffs of the northern coastal trail. To finish our loop at at Ribeira d’Ilhas again.

Some fun trails with built obstacles and narrow singletrails through the bushes form a perfect loop for experienced riders. Beginners will enjoy to ride calm and charming villages and a laidback cultural landscape.

Views from Cabo da Roca until Peniche transform the trails along the coast into a unique panorama ride. Beaches, cliffs and charming villages row up like a pearl string along the coast. Views reach from Cabo da Roca until Peniche. Some short, but sharp up- and downhills bring us to charming villages such as Azenhas do Mar or Magoito and the beautiful beaches Sao Julhao or Praia Grande to name just a few of them. At the end of the old world, at Cabo da Roca, we are picked up by a shuttle and dropped of at Sintra, Ericeira or Lisbon.
