Terms & Conditions

  The services are offered and all bikes are owned by Simon Angerer (following „the owner“ or „the rental company“). The rental conditions provide an integral part of the rental contract. With his signature, the customer agrees to have read and accept the rental conditions without reserve. If individual provisions of the following contract should be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected thereby.

Safety Advice

All our bikes are up to international quality standards and well maintained. Upon receiving the bike, please make sure to carefully check and test ride the bike, and to let us know immediately of any possible faults. Renter agree to use the bikes at their own risk.
We recommend to wear a helmet at all times when cycling. Helmets are provided free of charge with every bike rental. Participants must respect Portuguese traffic regulations. Any ticket or fine due to incorrect use of the bicycle will be completely assumed by the customer. Bikes without lighting system may not be used in darkness or twilight.

Insurance and 3rd party liability

The customer is responsible for adequate personal insurance coverage for risks that may occur during the rental period. The rental company is not liable for any claims for body injury or harm, accidents, damage caused to third person property or loss of personal belonging caused by weather, sickness, or any other causes what’s ever beyond the control of the rental company.

Accidents, Damage & Theft

The customer is liable for any arising costs from loss, theft or damages other than the accepted normal wear and tear. In case of theft or damage usual market prices will be charged against the renter.
The customer is liable for using the bike. A security lock is included in every rental. After 10 pm the bike has to be stored in a closed off room. The customer is obliged to inform the renting company immediately, if the bike has been involved in an accident or if it was stolen. In case of theft the customer has to report the theft to the police immediately. The Renting Company has to be informed of which police station and the theft number.
If during the rental occurs a fault the customer has not caused, the customer has the right to receive a replacement bike or to be partially refunded the rental fee if replacement is not possible to any reason. Third party repair works the customer wants to be refunded must to be reconfirmed by the owner in prior execution. Receipt must be provided at the drop off.

Payment & Deposit

As per individual agreement the rental fee is due for reservation or when taking over the rental object.

If no individual agreement takes place, 50% of the rental price is required for reservation and are non-refundable. The remaining 50% can be paid cash at the pick up, if the bike pick up is in Lisbon or must be paid until 14 days before pick up in any other case.

ID or passport are required for every rental. A deposit of applies on an individually combined amount. If the bike is returned to the rental station without damage, the deposit will be refunded. If the renting party causes damage to the material, the deposit will be retained as advance payment for the repair costs.
